Shakira and Aitana Lead Premios Juventud 2026 Winners List

Top Winners and Global Collaborations

The 23rd edition of the awards, themed “Conéctate al Vibe” (“Connect to the Vibe”), celebrated the biggest names in Latin music and young changemakers. Among the night's most-awarded artists, Shakira secured three trophies despite not attending the ceremony in person. Her wins included Premios Juventud female artist and best Pop song for “Bésame,” her collaboration with Alejandro Sanz. Additionally, she and Burna Boy took home the OMG collaboration award for “Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 World Cup. The track has notably topped Billboard’s global charts for several weeks following their halftime performance at the tournament’s final in July.

Aitana also dominated the evening with three awards, winning best Euro-song for “Superestrella,” best pop album for Cuarto Azul, and couple goals alongside Plex. Similarly, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce swept the tropical categories with three wins each, honored for their joint album Better Late Than Never and the hit tracks “Dardos” and “Lokita por Mí.” Alejandro Fernández matched this tally, sharing My Favorite Track with Carín León for “Me Está Doliendo” and winning best pop/ballad song for “Sin Despedida.”

Urbano and Regional Success

Other major winners included Bad Bunny, who was named Premios Juventud male artist and received tour of the year for the Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour. Karol G earned album of the year for Tropicoqueta and best urban rhythmic song for “Verano Rosa” (featuring Feid). Bizarrap was recognized as producer of the year and won best urban track for his collaboration with Daddy Yankee. In the Mexican music categories, Carín León took home best Mexican music album for Palabra De To’s (Seca), while Cazzu won best cumbia song for “Con Otra,” a track that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Argentina chart.

Historic Debut and Performance Highlights

The ceremony at the Starlite Auditorium marked a historic move for the franchise, which had previously been held in Miami, Puerto Rico, and Panama. The night opened with a high-energy performance of “Marbella Nights,” the event’s new anthem, performed by Farruko, Juan Magán, and DJ Rous. Farruko was later joined by Greeicy for their EDM hit “Yapaque,” which reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart in July.

Quevedo made a notable debut, celebrating his Canary Islands heritage with a medley that included “Columbia,” “Al Golpito,” and “La Graciosa” alongside Elvis Crespo and Las Cuatro. During the performance, Crespo energized the crowd with a shout-out to the islands:

Other standout moments included Natanael Cano performing “Mar Azul” with a raw energy, unbuttoned shirt, and a beer in hand, accompanied by a traditional ensemble of tuba and requintos. Kenia OS and Xavi delivered the live premiere of “Malas Mañas,” a performance noted for its flirtatious choreography and sleek aesthetic, despite appearing to be lip-synced. Eladio Carrión provided a retro-inspired set for “Polaroid,” a track that reworks the 1983 classic “Maniac,” complete with neon-clad dancers and a Flashdance-inspired visual.

New Generations and Group Honors

The quintet Santos Bravos proved to be a rising force, winning favorite group or duo of the year and new generation – male artist. They delivered what was described as a K-pop-scale production during their performance, featuring crisp white outfits, tight choreography, and a shower of confetti. In the female categories, Aria Vega was named new generation – female artist, while Omar Camacho won for new generation – Mexican music.

Honoring Agents of Change

The 2026 gala continued the tradition of recognizing artists for their social and cultural impact. Marc Anthony and Yandel were both honored as “Agents of Change.” Marc Anthony demonstrated his enduring star power with a medley of salsa classics, including “Aguanile,” “Valió La Pena,” and “Vivir Mi Vida,” which brought the entire auditorium to its feet. Antonio Banderas and the veteran Spanish band La Oreja de Van Gogh were also recognized with the same honor. The band performed their hit “Rosas,” led by Amaia Montero, as the audience swayed along to the timeless anthem.

The 2026 Premios Juventud were broadcast on delay across the U.S. via Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX, concluding a weeklong celebration that included live concerts and creator activations in Houston, Miami, and Los Angeles as part of the inaugural PJ Fest.
