According to published reports, Megan Moroney managed to complete only three songs—“Stupid,” “Medicine,” and “Bless Your Heart”—before she was unable to continue the performance. After initially exiting the stage, the artist returned briefly to inform the gathered fans that she was overcome by an unspecified illness and would not be able to complete the scheduled set.

The venue, Ball Arena, was the first to officially confirm the cancellation of the evening's event. In a statement released to the public, representatives for the arena explained the situation to the audience:

Rescheduling and Tour Information

Fans who attended the July 28 concert will have the opportunity to see the full performance later this summer. A new date has already been locked in for August 27, and all tickets purchased for the original Tuesday night show will be honored for the rescheduled date. For those unable to attend the new August date, refunds will be made available at the original point of purchase.

The current tour is Moroney's largest to date, having commenced on May 29 in Columbus, Ohio. The itinerary includes more than 40 shows stretching through October. Major U.S. stops on the tour include Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, New York City’s Barclays Center, and Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Following the domestic leg, Moroney is set to travel across the Atlantic for performances in Paris, London, Oslo, and Stockholm. The European and U.K. leg is scheduled to conclude on October 1 at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Despite the setback in Denver, the tour is expected to continue shortly. The next scheduled date is at the Moda Center in Portland, OR, this Saturday, August 1.

Success of the Cloud 9 Era

The tour is in support of Moroney's third studio album, Cloud 9, which reached the summit of the all-genres Billboard 200 chart in March of this year. This marked her first leader on the chart. Upon the album's announcement, the artist, who was formed in 1997, described the project as a significant milestone in her career.
