12 июля 2022 в московском клубе Adrenaline Stadium выступят британские инди-экспериментаторы alt‐J. Трио университетских гиков: Джо Ньюман (вокал, гитара), Гас Ангер-Гамильтон (клавиши) и Том Грин (ударные) давно в фаворе у российских меломанов, и музыканты отвечают им взаимностью. Их «тихие гимны» не просто стали откровением для миллионов фанатов, но и вдохновили целый пласт независимых музыкантов по всему миру, показав, что и в наше время можно собирать стадионы без игры в конформизм.
Парни из Лидса дебютировали в 2012 году с альбомом «An Awesome Wave», отхватив престижный The Mercury Prize. В 2015 со вторым лонгплеем «This Is All Yours» доигрались до номинаций «Best Alternative Album» премии GRAMMY, а также «Best British Group» и «Best Album» на The BRIT Awards. Последний крупноформатный релиз alt-J «Reduxer» — сборник неожиданных «редакций» треков третьей пластинки «RELAXER», созданных вместе с матёрыми хип-хоп продюсерами и исполнителями. Среди последних отметились знакомые московской аудитории по недавним выступлениям Pusha T и Rejjie Snow, а также The Alchemist, Danny Brown, GoldLink, и ряд других.
Эксцентрики в творчестве и любители планомерного подхода к реализации идей alt-J перед каждым туром тщательно прорабатывают все элементы шоу, открывая при помощи света и мультимедиа дополнительные измерения своих композиций. В июле 2022 московскую и питерскую публику ждёт новое шоу со свежим взглядом музыкантов на своё творчество, включая такие боевики, как «In Cold Blood», «Taro», «Left Hand Free», и конечно же, «Breezeblocks».

Alt-J (sometimes stylised ∆) was formed when Gwil Sainsbury (guitar, bass), Joe Newman (guitar, vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards) and Thom Green (drums) met at Leeds, UK University in 2007. The band currently resides in Cambridge.
Unger-Hamilton studied English Literature; the other three Fine Art. In their second year of studies, Newman showed Sainsbury a handful of his own songs inspired by his guitar-playing dad and hallucinogens, and the pair began recording in their dorm rooms with Sainsbury acting as producer on Garageband.
