Ginger Root, the indie soul project helmed by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cameron Lew, emerged from Huntington Beach, California. Lew characterizes the project's distinctive sound as "aggressive elevator soul," drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists including Vulfpeck, Toro y Moi, White Denim, Yellow Magic Orchestra, and Feist.
Beyond Lew's core creative output, Ginger Root has established a notable presence on the live circuit. The project has shared stages with notable acts such as Khruangbin, Hippo Campus, Omar Apollo, and Last Dinosaurs. In the fall of 2022, Ginger Root embarked on their own headlining tour, featuring support from King Pari, Vicky Farewell, and Amaiwana.
