History

Unlord

Unlord is a Northern European band that has been active since 1989. Initially formed as a creative outlet for a group of friends, the band spent their early years developing their sound. Over a six-year period, they recorded three demo tapes, none of which were commercially released. However, their third demo garnered enough attention to secure a record deal with Displeased Records.

Early Releases and Debut Album

Unlord's focus was never on widespread fame; their primary objective was to create music that resonated with listeners. This dedication culminated in the release of their debut album, Schwarzwald, in 1997. The album has since achieved cult status within the underground music scene.

Subsequent Albums and Artistic Collaborations

In the spring of 2000, Unlord returned to the studio to record their second album, Gladiator, which was subsequently released in September of the same year. The band recorded their third and final album, Lord of Beneath, in 2001. The cover art for this album was created by Joe Petagno, an artist renowned for his iconic work with bands such as Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Marduk.
