Barbados is a Swedish dansband that emerged in 1992 and has achieved notable success on the Swedish music charts. The group gained significant recognition following their second-place finish in the Melodifestivalen 2000 competition, with Magnus Carlsson as their lead singer.
The band has experienced several lead singer changes throughout its history. Magnus Carlsson departed in 2002 to join the group Alcazar. He was succeeded by Mathias Holmgren, a former student of the Fame Factory reality show. However, Holmgren was compelled to leave the band in 2004. Chris Lindh became the third and most recent lead singer, though he also announced plans to leave the band in early 2007.
