Amira Elfeky is an American-Egyptian singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Connecticut, Elfeky connected with producer and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Iljas in 2017 after placing a "drummer wanted" advertisement. The duo has since collaborated on numerous songs, recorded in Iljas's home studio in San Francisco. Their musical approach blends the synthesized and guitar-driven sounds of lo-fi bedroom pop with contemporary vocals and boom bap-influenced percussion.
Music has served as a refuge for Elfeky throughout her lifelong struggles with anxiety and depression. Her introspective songwriting style navigates the complexities of her mental state, creating a dynamic that balances deeply personal verses with memorable, melodic choruses. Each track invites listeners into a narrative exploring the interplay between internal chaos and moments of serenity.
