History
KATSEYE is a six-member global girl group formed through a strategic partnership between HYBE and Geffen Records. The group features an international lineup consisting of Sophia (Philippines), Lara (United States), Yoonchae (South Korea), Megan (United States), Daniela (United States), and Manon (Switzerland).
Formation and Debut
The group was assembled through the reality survival program The Debut: Dream Academy, a project designed to apply the K-pop training methodology to a diverse, global ensemble. KATSEYE made their official debut on June 28, 2024, with the digital single "Debut." This track was subsequently included in their first extended play (EP), SIS (Soft Is Strong), which established their musical identity on the global stage.
Career Developments and BEAUTIFUL CHAOS
In April 2025, KATSEYE began the rollout for their next era with the release of the single "Gnarly." This served as the precursor to their second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which was released on June 27, 2025. The project further explored the group's pop sensibilities and international appeal.
To support the release of their second EP, the group embarked on their first-ever North American headlining tour, titled KATSEYE: THE BEAUTIFUL CHAOS TOUR. The tour launched in November 2025, marking their transition from a studio-focused project to a touring global act.
Recent Activity and Hiatus
In early 2026, the group faced a temporary change in lineup when it was announced that Manon would take a hiatus for health reasons. Despite the adjustment, the group continued their promotional schedule, releasing the single "PINKY UP" on April 9, 2026. KATSEYE remains a significant example of the "K-pop globalization" model, blending various cultural backgrounds into a cohesive pop unit.
