Fatimah Nyeema Warner, professionally known as Noname, was born on September 18, 1991, in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. She emerged as a distinctive voice in music, blending elements of poetry and rap. Her artistic journey began in 2010 with performances in slam poetry and rap.
Noname first gained significant attention in 2013 for her contribution to "Lost," a track from Chance the Rapper's influential mixtape, Acid Rap. This collaboration marked the beginning of a series of notable features, including a verse on "Finish Line/Drown" from Chance the Rapper's 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book. Her presence was further highlighted when she appeared with Chance the Rapper on Saturday Night Live in December 2016. Beyond her work with Chance the Rapper, Noname also featured on Mick Jenkins' 2014 mixtape, The Waters, contributing to the song "Comfortable," and appeared on multiple tracks from Kirk Knight's 2015 album, Late Knight Special.
