Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post on July 4, 1995, is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper recognized for his seamless integration of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and country. Since his emergence in the mid-2010s, he has become one of the most commercially successful artists of his era, known for his distinctive vocal style and genre-blurring compositions.
Malone began his musical journey in 2011, but it was the 2015 release of his debut single, "White Iverson," that propelled him into the spotlight. The track peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led to a recording contract with Republic Records. In 2016, he released his debut studio album, Stoney, which reached number four on the Billboard 200. The album featured the diamond-certified single "Congratulations," establishing him as a mainstay in the contemporary music scene.
