Lawrence Mullen Jr. was born in Artane, Dublin, Ireland and is the founder of U2. He is more commonly known as Larry Mullen Jr. The "Junior" suffix was added to his name to stop confusion with his father (also Larry Mullen), who was receiving large tax bills meant for his son.
