Hélène Labarrière

Hélène Labarrière is a French jazz - improvisation and musician.

Labarrière grew up in Clichy-sur-Seine and at the age of 16 she started with the double bass. While studying at the conservatories of Boulogne and Gennevilliers she initially joined up with Pierre Brunel, before in 1983 she worked with the group Ladies First with Marie-Ange Martin, Micheline Pelzer and Dominique Borker.
