Anthony Callea

Anthony Callea was born on December 13th 1982 in Melbourne. He had worked as singer teacher when he decided to audition for the TV show 'Australian idol'.

Anthony made it through the semi finals as the judges pick on the wild card show. From their is popularity grew but the nation fell in love with him when he took one of the biggest risks by performing 'The prayer'. Idol Judge Ian Dickson described it as the best performance on Idol, whilst Mark Holden gave it a 'grande royale touchdown'.
