The band started as a small idea between two massive Wednesday 13 fans when they met at a party in November 2003. Al. B. Damned and Stitches became real good friends and started coming up with little ideas for a band that would cross all their favourite bands together. All they needed was a guitarist and a bassist and the idea could become reality. Stitches introduced Al. B. Damned to Face the guitarist of his current band DeVille at one of their local gigs. Face joined in with the ideas for the band and work began in January 2004 with Al. B. Damned on vocals, Stitches on drums, Face on guitar and Harry The Hatchet on second guitar (another former member of DeVille)
At first things didn't work out as smoothly as the band might have hoped. Harry left and the band still didn't have a bassist or a name. Later that month a band name was decided and The Texas Drag Queen Massacre was born. The band practised and worked on their material until March 26th when they got their first gig at QE Fest a local school's concert replacing the ever fading DeVille. Face, Al. B. Damned and Stitches had fifteen minutes to prepare and played four songs, three of which they'd never played together before. The gig was small and pretty shit but it didn't dishearten the band at all.
