History East of Eden

There are 5 bands with the name East of Eden: a British progressive rock band, a German rock band, a Christian progressive hardcore band from New Zealand, and a Japanese all-female rock band formed in August of 2023 in Tokyo.

* A British progressive rock band that formed in the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and who still release the occasional album. Began as a heavy psychedelic band with a strong eastern influence before exploring more jazz/rock territory, then settled into more a mainstream country rock mode. Violinist Dave Arbus played on The Who's song "Baba O'Riley". According to the Jig A Jig Songfacts, Jig A Jig was their only hit single in the UK.
