1) - Aragorn, named after character in J.R.R Tolkien's the Lord Of The Rings, was a NWOBHM band formed in 1978 in Cheshire, England. It featured singer Chris Dunne, guitarist John Hull, bassist Dale Lee and drummer Mike Ellis. They were one of the earliest signings of Neat Records, releasing single "Black Ice" in 1981, which later came to grow in cult stature. Studio sessons for their first full-lenght album took place in 1982, but it never materialized despite repeated attempts to place these recordings with prospective labels. Aragorn was split soon after this. Their unreleased tracks were later collected into Noonday Anthology.
