History Brew Army

Brew Army starts in 2005 in Caracas, capital city of Venezuela as an initiative to rescue the spirit of rock and roll, pounding drums, rumbling bass, loud guitars and lyrics you can relate to. Rafael and Vincent (Former vocal) set the blueprint for what later would become the first recorded material from the band. In December- January 2005/06 they recorded the first demo which was untitled, it included three songs: Time to Kill, Castigo (In Spanish) and a cover of Rolling Stones's Paint it Black. With this demo, the began to get noticed in the rock and roll underground of Caracas. Nevertheless, they were not complete, lacking a bass and a drum players. Time later (mid 2006) they found CheChe, and old friend, who took the job as the drummer. This brought the opportunity to start rehearsing new songs, and start focusing in a more “band” direction, instead of a “duo”.

The year 2007 set new opportunities for the band. Cheche left due to creative issues, and this brought to the front a new opportunity to record new songs, so the boys spent good part of the year writing new material. This material would later become No Time Left For Redemption, an EP full of song of booze, broken hearts and rock and roll, setting into a more focused sound. Soon after that, they found Eliecer, who took the drums and Alejandro, from brother band Jekyl Hydes, who went into the bass playing department. Everything worked excellent for a while, until new departments followed; Vincent and Alejandro left the band almost at the same time, but for different causes though. This left Brew Army in Rafael and Eliecer's hands. But soon thereafter new members came along to fill the empty spots, Leo, a long time friend of the group, took the bass and Erick also a long time friend took over as the lead vocalist.

By the year 2008 and the group needed to get their specific sound, and begins searching for new members. Eliecer Rodriguez is the first to arrive, taking charge of the battery, and with Rafael Pannacci, the only original member of the band is responsible for the band after the withdrawal of some members. The wait was short, and almost immediately made up of two great friends: Leonardo Borjas in the Bass Guitar, and Erick Garcia in the Voice. Brew Army had not only got the sound they wanted, but surprised many with their evolution. Heavy influences of bands like Pantera, Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne, among others, give that unique sound of Southern Rock that characterizes the band.
