Biography
United Kingdom-based electronic musician Skaarl, started out as a DJ playing house music, before following the usual route to producing music under various alter egos. He has left the energy of the world’s dancefloors behind however, and now creates music in more relaxed genres, such as chillout, ambient, downtempo, trip-hop, electronic and deep house music.
In June 2013, Skaarl released his debut Tropical Haze - EP, consisting of mostly electronic and downtempo tracks. While this release serves as an introduction to his music, Skaarl’s individual musical style usually features the use of lazy chords and leads, laid-back beats, glitchy percussion, as well as the occasional chopped up and processed vocal. However, several of Skaarl’s subsequent releases, are much more electronic and distorted.
