Formed mid 90s in Brighton, England by ex 14 Iced Bears (Sarah Records) and Blow Up (Creation and Cherry Red Records) members Nick Roughley and Will Taylor, augmented by guitarist Sleez (Adrian Marshall) and drummer Dil Davies (Sharkboy, Oysterband), Cat Ballou surfed the tail end of the Britpop wave, producing a couple of independently released EPs, their most notable featuring the sprightly 'Zed Girl', Cat Stevens' "Matthew And Son" a successful cover from the second of those EPs. What might have been.. ?
