DEDE PRIEST grew up in Dallas, Texas. As a little girl, she would sing along to whatever she could find, but it was the rawness of Blues and Gospel that shaped her talent the most. Moving to Austin, Texas, she earned a degree in Philosophy then followed her heart and let the music lead. In Austin, Texas, Dede began singing professionally, sharing the stage with Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Leon Russell, Tommy Shannon, and Harry Belafonte, among others. Touring in the USA and all over Europe, Dede Priest has performed at events such as Rhythm & Blues Night Oosterpoort (NL), Peer Bluesfestival (B), Simply Blues Viana (PT), Trasimeno Blues Festival (I), Martin Luther King Keynote (USA).
